I will be picking up my new baby 3=4" Florida gar up in a few hours but I have one problem... what do I feed him? Is it ok to buy some guppies at the fish store for him? I obviously don't have time or another tank to quarantine them, so what should I do. They need constant live food... Do I go to a tackle shop and get minnows... or do those need to be quarantined also? Please help

you can feed him guppies to get him going. Then after he gets a little bigger switch to tilapia or something of that sort
THe guppies should be fine, just make sure to inspect the tank of them before getting them, there shoudl be no obviouse signs of illness/disease. otherwise at 4"-6" most FLG can handle smaller minnows w/out a problem.
