Hello good afternoon from Spain presenting my little first flower horn.

Today arrived from an Spanish breeder, it’s a bit stressed or he doesn’t like new life spectrum.

Some suggestions about ??

I have the fish only in the tank, without substrate.

Today he doesn’t has eaten nothing , tried some spectrum and he doesn’t like that.

I ordered some okiko bags 100 grams per bag.

Any other lunch for theme???

The little guy is stressed from the move. Give it a hide, dim the lights, feed sparingly, good clean water. When he settles in, gets used to the new tank, new stuff outside the tank he will come out on his own.
Fish won't typically starve themselves, when he hungry he will eat.
Just monitor water peramaters as normal, and try to see its poop, if it's normal.

I just arrived at home and I’m watching him right now from the bed, he is moving so well .

I have an internal jbl 1501, another eheim internal that makes oxigenation and a wave pump from AliExpress

There is good movement of water and filtration, one month ago added like 250 ml of purigen from seachem in the internal filter.

He looks very happy because he has been with his brothers in a little tank until it arrived to me this morning.

Bought in the market some mussels freezed, I discongeled one, and I gave him little mussels meats, he ate like crazy, but I only gave him 2 or 3 little pieces.

I’m so happy with him he is dancing every time, and looks like he loves wave pump.

Somebody uses that too???

Try not to feed too much frozen foods... stick to a pellet... flowerhorns have bad digestion and can cause serious harm or death by overfeeding... little guy looks nice and as @jexsaid.... give him some time and keep his water clean and hell be a beast

Already ordered okiko on eBay but I’m waiting to it arrives at home.

I only have new life spectrum grain from my malawi yet, so I had to buy mussels for him.

Some advices more ???

I've actually heard more bad than good with okiko... just overpriced and packed with too much protein... new life spectrum is great... my guy loves hikari jumbo carnisticks

If you can get him on new life spectrum that would be great... I love their products very good ingrediants and not alot of fillers... okiko is expensive and in my opinion too much protein... I buy from lfs but Amazon is good too

I agree New Life Spectrum is a really good food, personally I like the Probiotix formula, it helps with their digestion. He is very nice, I like that he has the dragon tears!

I’ll keep updating this post.

I’m only feeding him with new life spectrum for cichlids .

It seems like he’s accepting this well, btw I’m feeding only a little I don’t want to over feed him.

His kok seems a little bigger I think he’s getting disesstresed .
