hey guys just got a new fish from lakefishex. it looks sick though. i acclimated it. and it swam alot, then it started rubbing its side against the rocks and stuff. now its sitting at the bottom of the tank looks really stressed. barely moving, teetering from one side to another. looks like its about to lean over and die. please help please!!!

when i put it in it swam around, rubbed its side against rocks and air pumps. after awhile, it floated to the bottom, and now its sitting there. every few minutes it will lean over to one side then sit back up again. does it have swim bladder?

Bro. Just leave him alone. He had a long journey he needs time to settle. Share a pic when he's comfortable.

^ This...leave him alone. Keep your temperature in the high 80's with great aeration for maximum oxygen. He needs lots of rest, it may take up to 2-3 days before you will see any sign of him being normal. Worry to much about your fish, you will start fumbling with all kinds of things via medication and etc. This will kill your fish instead...

ok. well here he was this morning.. active..

here he is now.. his pearls/flowers are fading away one by one.. idk why i think he may have ick or some skin disease.. this morning he was brushing himself against the rocks alot for like 5 minutes.. any thoughts?

No offense dude but ever since you paid for this fish you made threads & worried yourself sick about it... You may be better off just purchasing what you want or can in person instead of online cuz it seems like your gonna stress yourself to the max

Research before purchase is key.

Good luck with your fish, it looks very nice

Yeah I know I freak out too much. But hey, the thing cost me a fortune, so I have a reason to be worried.

if you really think something may be wrong with his health, post in the FW Disease & Illnesses section.

They are not fading away forever. Its stress. Keep the lights off for a couple days. Have you checked your water? Before you said it was an empty tank. Check parameters
