New Flowerhorn follow up questions

It’s been a couple weeks now since I got this guy, he’s looking better and his behavior is really coming along. He still looks kind of pail though even though his head is starting to grow and his colors are getting better. Could he need more time to fully settle in? Could it be because of the white gravel or light blue background? Any other ideas? The first two pics are a couple days ago, the last pic is a couple weeks ago when I first got him

Still plenty of time for this guy to colour up. My first FH remained grey for his first 3 months. Good water and good food should get those colours going

Sorry bro but looks like you've been ripped off -- classic bait and switch marketing...The fish you received is not a "Super" Red Dragon and nowhere near the grade/quality they have advertised with that photo from the same group.

Yes it should get better looking and more colorful than it is now -- and of course it can still be a good looking fish with a cool character you can love -- but the chances of it looking like the one in the pic are practically nil.
