Flowerhorn from the same batch can vary drastically. They may look similar to the father or mother or unlike either of them. They look like they have both some kamfa genes and some ZZ red dragon genes, top one leaning more toward red dragon and bottom one leaning more toward kamfa.

To me they look like magma FH's, a mix of both red dragons and kamfas. As for why they look different from each other well that's simple. Each child will get a different mix of Gene's from their parents and while some may look similar to each other there will always be others that look totally different. These 2 FH's were made from the same parents and from the same batch of fry but look totally different from each other even tho they are sisters. It's amazing how diverse their looks can be even when so closely related.

Btw these 2 here are red dragon/fader crosses.

I would say both are kamfas. The male seems to have more of the vieja Gene's with how his face looks. The lil lady looks like she has some potential to be a real stunner once she grows up. Btw if ya don't mind me asking, are ya planning on breeding em at some point? If so I would swap the females around and give the kamfa female to the magma male while giving the magma female to the kamfa male.

Yeah I would definitely vent them all just to be safe. The pic of the darker FH I showed earlier I thought it was male for the longest time do to the masculine figure and the big kok on its he'd but one day I got curious as to why it refused to breed with the female I had so I took it out and vented it just to find out the he was actually a she in disguise. After that it made total sense on why she refused to breed with another female lol.
