i recently purchased a flowerhorn, and was wondering at what size should the head begin to pop? also what should i be feeding to help promote head growth?

Do you have a picture? Sometimes the head on a FH never pops, and sometimes they begin to pop at 2". It is all in the genes. A varied, healthy diet and clean water will promote head growth.
