Just got a new Flowerhorn
This is my first ever. Idk what kind he is? Is he just just a regular or normal one?
Is he a male or female?
Will he/she get the huge bump or kok thing on their head?
Please give me some answers and ideas
Thanks

All male flowerhorn grow a Kok to some extent. Genetics of your fish will play the biggest role in determining the size of the kok and weather he will develop a substantial sized one or not . Water koks tend to be bigger but can fluctuate. Hard koks tend to be smaller and stay the same. The way you can tell is to feel if the forehead or the region of the kok is squishy or hard. And yes it is a red dragon ZZ flowerhorn I am not too sure but it does appear to be a male. And I do think that ZZ red dragons tend to be pretty common as opposed to kamfa and all the other variations.

And at 4" it should have developed kok at least to some extent .... so probably its a female ... bt there is no black spot in the dorsal fin .... so it may be a low grade male ...
