Just got my first flowerhorn today from aquabid! It's a 5.5 inch srd. Just wondering what do you guys feed your flowerhorns? Also my ph is 8.2. Is this good for flowerhorns? Couldn't find if they prefer harder water or soft water.

Post some pics! You have the ad for it and how much was shipping. I always get confused when they said transhipper contact them for pricing for shipping.
Anyways 7-8 is ideal for Flowerhorn but he'll do fine in that ph level. Very hardy fish.

Flowerhorncross is here in the states...in San Diego to be exact...so the price of the fish probably included shipping cost. Transhippers are required for fishes from overseas. Buyers pay the seller for the fish who ships it to the transhipper who are here in the states to ship...and then buyer pays the transhipper the shipping cost to get it to the buyer.
My FH eats aqua master and hikari food pellets and once a week I give it either shrimp (live ghost or market) or crickets and mealworms by hand feeding
