Do kamfas turn red as they age?

Some kamfas stay that color through out there life such as this guy

If kept well they'll color up a bit more during prime years, then after that the colors of many flowerhorns will lessen over time as they age.

In regard to your nice looking Kamfa it's hard to tell how much red it has now because it's under a blue light. Try changing to a full spectrum or white light and it'll become more apparent.

baught the male about 3 months ago from Petco hes about 4-5 inches.. is the hump pretty good for his size? An the female is over a year old. Is her hump good for a female? Shes also from Petco
