So I went to my LFS last week and saw a little baby FH, I love Flowerhorns but when I saw him he was a little beat up because of the other flowerhorn they transferred him with. Still curious I asked how much and instead of 25 they wanted 30 so i was like?that’s. A little high for a beat up flowerhorn, but I went yesterday and he was 10$ and looked a little better so I took him! Here’s some pics. Also he’s still very shy and his left side is beat up, not so much his rightimage.jpgimage.jpg

+1 Funny I’ve seen flowerhorn that look more or less like this one but are larger go for 150$ at lfs just because of the name...flowerhorn
Yeah he’s a pretty cool one, just a little beat up. I was just happy for getting him for 9$

I’m sure he’ll make a full recovery. After he settles in and comes out of his shell he’ll become very personable.
Yeah since last week when I saw him the first time, he looks a lot better. I’ve been adding a little bit of aquarium salt so it any open wounds don’t get infected

Most important is water quality. Maybe up the water changes for the next couple weeks.

Just little bit recovery steps, such as salinity in water to prevent fungus and parasites, fresh water, some veggies food, some API stress coat (which has aloe vera), little bit Prime dechlorinator, and he will be back soon. All the best for recovery.

P.S. my FH grew from 2 inches to beast mainly on green peas, strawberries, beans etc veggies and fruit to keep him out of constipation.. You can see him in my profile... Other pallets like Hikari Gold, freeze dried shrimp, bw, krills (all freeze dried), he never had bloated stomach or anything like that... Hope this helps..
