So I have a 20 gal long tank set up just for plants. Would like to grow my own plants for all my other tanks.. Have been wanting to add a better CO2 system to it.
I found yesterday that Fluval has a new system out and needed to see if anyone had any info on it. I will put a video I found of the system.. Its a 88g system, high pressure rated for tanks from 15-40 gal.

Questions are:
How often would you need to replace the CO2 bottle? (really what I want to know to see if its worth even buying for the money)

How much would you use in CO2 for a 20 gal tank, meaning whats the best amount to be adding for that size tank... (about 15 plants in it rt now..No fish)

If anyone has any info on this system, please let me know.. hate to waist money on something I will end up spending more cash on in the long run than its even worth, to just grow plants I can buy already grown....

i wouldn't waste my money on one of those, replacement cartridges are expensive. Just do a paintball setup, it cost like $40-$50, and its cheaper in the long run and you get more co2. roughly $4 to fill and last months on a single fill.
Here is a DIY (same as i did)

I would probably do 1-2 BPS (bubbles per second). In my 10g planted with fish, i do about 1BPS to 3/4 BPS.

One and Done

If you're the crafty type the 3litre yeast DIY systems
are fun and super cheap

First time I've ever heard someone refer to DIY yeast based co2 systems as fun...

wat can I say I like plumbing that much
I have as much fun maintaining my tanks as watching them
and I spend 90% of that time maintaining

When I got into brewing I was warned by a vet:
"If you don't like cleaning, brewing is not for you.
Brewing beer is 10% sharing your beer, 90% dishes."

Ya, I set up my own co2 system with paintball parts and it works good. it is cheaper, just was looking at the fluval system. Have been looking at one like it for a few months, but then found out fluval had one like it. I was worried how long the bottles would last and it is costly.. 13 dollars for a 88g bottle. Found out a bottle lasts about a month, and well unless someone decided to sell one really cheap, I think Ill just stick with what I have. Im still getting a better deal anyway, my 20oz co2 bottle are only 6 bucks to fill here and do last alot longer.
thanks for the info.. just wanted advice from others to make sure I was thinking the same thing....
