Hi everyone, i just got a new 4-5" freshwater barracuda and I was just wondering like what kind of food they eat and any other information about them... water temp, ph, etc....
i'm thinking about getting one so don't actually have any experience with these yet but have had to wean plenty of fish off of live food so i think you may have to feed live fish to settle him in at first and then gradually change over to dead ones, you can make them look alive by putting them in the outlet of a power filter or by dragging them through the water on a piece of cotton, hope this helps
hujeta are one of the most likely of the fish labled FW baracuda to except prepared foods most of these fish will only except live fish but with time can learn to except prepared food try krill silver sides and shrimp but for know they may only eat live fish
I found out that he likes live food. I bought 15 rosey reds last night and when I came out this morning, their were 2 left. There is also a little about 4" RD in there too... The 'cuda shoved 3 in his mouth at once though last night...
