Just wanted to introduce myself, and share a few pics of my setup. My name is Mike, and I am from Virginia. I just purchased a 55 gallon tank a few weeks ago, but have yet to stock it completely. This is my first real fish tank, other than a small 10 gallon I had when I was a kid.
It currently has 2 crawfish, two ramshorn snails, and one minnow. When I caught the crawfish, the minnow ended up in one of the nets so I figured I would toss it in. I did have four crawfish, but my large one (about 3 inches) decided to go hostle and kill the two smallest ones. And, the last small one has some battle scars but is surviving. They are being fed canadian night crawlers, and they love 'em. They are holding up quite well.
I am planning on catching some wild panfish and or smallmouth for the tank, probably just two wild fish and one pleco at the absolute max. But, I have to wait till it is a bit warmer to catch some small ones who can grow into the tank, rather than get ones that are too large. (FYI, I have a friends farm pond where it is strictly catch and release that I can let them go if they become too large, so don't flame me on this).
Anyway here are a few pics and a link to my photo gallery.
Let me know what you think.
