NEW FX5 What for Media?

I have just pick up a brand new FX5 and so far I'm really liking it. I own tons of EHEIMS and they are great but for the price that I paid for the FX5 and the volume it does I can't complain. So here is the question what to do for media I hear all kinds of stuff to put in it but this is going to run on a 125Gal tank and it housed about 40 african cichlids. There is a EHEIMS on it now and it's not doing the job. So :help2:I need to know what kind of media to put in the 3 trays. I have heard that you can put ceremic rings or bio rings I think and some type of pad. Let me know so I can set this up to smoothly. Also where to put the media bottom basket and so on.

Bio Ceramic rings or Fluval BIOMAX Filter Media and what type pad on top?
 
Just filter floss on top biomax on the second tray and biomax and fine filter floss on the bottom tray is what i use.
 
Well I got this Bad boy up and going and dam that puts out alot of volume of water so far so good it's running like a champ. Thanks everyone of the INFO on the media:D:D
