just got my fx5 today, easy to setup, great instructions, but... is this filter really supposed to be good for mechanical filtration? maybe i should have kept my emperor 400's for that??

One thing I would suggest to double the water pressure that comes out is to ditch the stock double nozzle attachment thats on the outtake. Go to Lowes or any hardware store and get a 3/4 inch pvc elbow for about 30 cents. Shove the end of the rubber boot down one end of the elbow and fire that bad boy up and prepare to me amazed of the difference.
