What type of gar do u guys reccomend for a 1st time gar owner dont worry about tank size too much (be resonable) I just love gars and cant resist em any longer soo just looking for some info

HAVE A 14" SPOTTED GAR AND IS VERY FUN TO WATCH ESPECIALLY DURING FEEDING TIME. LOVE THE WAY HE SNAPS AT ROSEY REDS. ALSO FUN TO WATCH HIM EAT PELLETS. MAKES HIS TEETH REALLY STAND OUT. HAVE SEVERAL PICS IN MY GALLERY.

ive seen a few spoted gars in my lfs, babys tho, they looked pretty cool....maybe u should check em out!

I have a Needle nose gar. I think he's pretty cool, they don't get too big (i think about 1 1/2 feet is the max). The only problem I have had is it is hard to find any info on them.

spotted or south american silver gar 6 - 12 inches easily housed usually only eat feeders

spotted / longnose/ or florida gar 12 - 40 inches depending on sex and water temperature and availability of food in the first 2 years of life with space to grow

Alligator gar... only if you have a 2000 gallon plus tank

I am also into buying into a alligator gar..... i hear a story where this guy at my LFs had a 7ft gar and in a indoor pond built by 2x4's and pliywood. I want to know is it going to be okay with my Rtc, Tsn, peackok bass and my sting raY? Because i seen what appear to be teeth marks that could of must of been a gar that took half of a bullheads flesh when i caught it about 3years ago.( I don't like teeth that cuts like razor blades....) any suggestions??
