very nice
:D

Congratz on the new pick up. What kind is it?

It looks like a juvenile shortnose.

thanks :D Goin' from the "easy" gars to the harder ones. Hopefully I can find a longnose eventually, too.

Longnoses are a bit harder to find but over the last month or so they've been surprising me by popping up here and there online...

Nice new gar, by the way!

just a little update. still skittish as s***, but seems to be doing okay. i have it in a 20 w/ pretty much a constant supply of fatheads. It's not growing as quickly as I thought it would, but it got quite a bit thicker and has grown maybe 2 inches. Shouldn't be long before it can go in w/ the trop and florida

I'm also growing one of these out. I agree, not too fast a growth rate, even with power feeding. Shortnose are the most skittish gar.
