New Garfish- damaged in transit... HELP!!!

Double post here to cover gars and health forums...

Ok, so i took delivery of a 10 inch garfish today. Somehow during transit it has injured itself and it looks like the top of its snout is peeling off exposing the jawbone beneath. I have no clue what I should do or even if there is anything that I can do...Is this survivable? Anyone seen this kind of thing before?

I had a Gar that I picked up from an LFS with pretty much the same injury and he pulled through fine, though the bent up tip of the snout never corrected itself. He's the middle Florida with the bent up snout.

That makes me feel a little better. Did yours have the bone showing also or was it fully healed and just bent?

The snout actually looks kinda cool. It reminds me of a gharial.
