guys it is ok to make the 75gal to be the growout tank of alli gar?

Tough to answer this question without knowing the size og the gar. I'm assuming it will be very small, but even then you are looking at a couple months at best.

Assuming the gar is under 12", it would probably work as a quarantine tank for a few months at least. But it is going to need an upgrade very quickly.

yeah, i would just say NO, due to the fact that you will need alot bigger tank in a very short amount of time. Best just to plan out ahead and go bigger, better for you and the fish rather than constantly upgrading.

although i agree with michael that it is possible to grow one out for a couple of months, i'd go with the above and get at least a 2' wide tank ready as a "grow out"

its just a temporary tank guys the gar is 10" and teh tiger shovel nose catfish is 10" also soon they will go on my pond as soon as they will not be eaten by my giant snakehead
