I just picked up 12 3-5" Altifrons. These are my first cichlids i am trying out. I keep/have breed rays in the past and thought it would be nice for some other fish in the tank. They are all in my 55 gallon right now growing out a little bit before I put them in the 480 with the rays.
Here are some pix of them after being acclimated and they ate right away. I picked them up from John down in Florida (Snook) on Aqua bid. He did a very good job shipping them.
What do you guys think? Also what is a typical size for breeding activities on these? I am assuming around 7".
