Lost Wages
I will be setting this tank I picked up locally set up over the next two weeks.
It was a decent deal and I think our Front colony could use a little more space.

Its a standard 96x24x24 with dual overflows. I think the original person who ordered it did not have it drilled correctly for returns and did not want it.

Stay tuned!

Looks nice man! I will be waiting for this one.

stocking plans?

As for the holes not sure I understand this right but, you could use both as drains and get the back drilled for a return? or even the center base the a T with loco lines on each side. just an idea :D

Stood her up on the stand tonight but we received the wrong size bulkheads from Jehmco.
Maybe next week for phase 3. ;)

what filtration system you planned to use?

Last night we installed and water tested two 2" bulkheads which will run into a 80G sump (an old acrylic tank we are building a sump from)
This will be our second DYI sump so it should be pretty decent.
Additionally to the sump we have two seasoned FX5 units with a 40W lifeguard UV sterilizer.
The challenge will be cutover as we want to move our stock from the 140 we have and all the decor w/o the substrate.
We have several large fronts and some large Geos that can be spooked easily.
More photos to come later in the week.

Overflows are piped in with 2" PVC and I have run 1.25 PVC to return to the tank.
Should be about ready for water Sat eve mid Sunday.

Pics to follow

Still a bit cloudy following the new sand. Should be crystal clear by weeks end.
(Washed the playsand thoroughly)

Ugh!!!
The new 60G sump I built popped apart over night. I glued in the separators with 100% silicone and when the water filled the chambers the tank expanded in the center causing the panels to unseat and thus leak between chambers. Gave the unit 48 hours to dry and they were pretty solid. I guess the water pressure was just too much for the silicone.
No water has escaped to the floor but the water flow for the wet-dry part is now wet-wet.
Guess I will seek out an old glass tank on CL and build another and keep this old tank as an extra hospital tank. :(

The current stock is as follows:

7 Frontosa
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/c_frontosa.php
3 Geos
http://www.cichlids.com/browse/species/geophagus_surinamensis.html
20+ Clown loaches
http://www.loaches.com/species-index/clown-loach-chromobotia-macracanthus
1 Feather fin catfish

1 Rubber nose pleco
http://www.aquariumlife.net/profiles/plecostomus/rubbernose-pleco/100074.asp
Fresh water lion fish/Stone fish
http://www.petsolutions.com/C/Live-Freshwater-Fish-Oddball-Fish/I/Freshwater-Lionfish.aspx

At this point I feel the tank is maxed out on stock as I only want to do weekly 30% water changes.
Even though there is adequate space for more fish the Loaches and Frontosas still will grow a bit more.
It’s a fun collection of pets that all get along without too much effort and that is another reason to not introduce more pets and risk some incompatibility.

Finally went over to Trop AQ and purchased a 55 to rebuild the failed acrylic sump.
At least I did not need to purchase new media.
Here is a photo of the filtration.

In addition to the sump there are dual FX5's and a 40W LifeGuard UV unit.
