i bought a GT a 2 weeks ago and along that period , hit is not eating although it nibbles the food and then spits it out , tried force feeding just spat it out although hes active around the dither fish isolated him thinking that it might have some contagious disease. so if you experienced this b4 pls comment thank you . (he was pushing around his tankmate(GT) in the LFS)

Swallowing then spitting out several times might sometimes mean the pellet size is too big for him... you could try cutting the pellets in half with a sharp knife and see if he can eat it. If not, try mashing a garlic in a little bit of hot water and soak the pellets for 30 minutes in the juice before giving it to him. Garlic is great for introducing new foods, and the allicin in it is a natural anti-parasitic.

ill try it thanks by the way.:)

try diff sizes and types of food. mine will eat anything, but ive had picky fish before

Try not feeding for a day or so. Then you night try soaking the good in water to soften it up. For picky eaters bloodworms or brine shrimp usually works but try to get the fish to eat pellets or flakes if you can. Fasting always works for me
