New green terror substrate question

Hi Guys,

Just got my first green terror and have him in with gravel. Read a bunch online about how they munch on it and can become impacted. wanted to see if this is a legit concern or not.
This is the cute little fella. You can see some gravel on the rock to the right of him that's pretty typical of size and smoothness of his current substrate. If this is not safe was going to get pool filter sand.

If you gavel vac during wc's shouldn't be a issue.

GT's will do quite fine in tanks with a gravel substrate. They typically aren't sift feeders.
