Hey guys, I recently bought four awsome juvenile Africans; Super VC-10 ( probable male), Red Empress (male), unidentified Copadichromis (male), and my first Victorian cichlid, a Hap #44 thickskin.
I believe the Copadichromis is a Kawanga. The store manager identified it as a Chrysonotus Yellow Blaze.
I'm not able to ID the gender of the Hap #44. Its only an inch and a half, has a pointed
anal fin, the stripes are black & always displayed, yellow / green coloration. Its a tough little fish. If it turns out to be female, I'm going to find a male for her.
I'd like opinions regarding the positive ID of the Copadichromis and gender ID of the
Hap #44. See pics.

I can't help with the Victorian, some females do develop alittle color, so I would give it some time to grow and see what happens.

The mouth/head doesn't quite look like right. Chrysonotus usually has a more blunt face and the eyes are large.

Since I posted, done a lot more research and the closest ID is going to be the Copadichromis Kawanda. He should achieve a shape similar to the Copadichromis Kadango (Red Fin Borleyi) be light blue in color w/ white or yellow blaze.
The Victorian Hap #44 is unbelievably cool. It hoovers over the rocks like a dominant Mbuna and is fearless for such a tiny fish. Males eventually develope red fins. Time will tell.
