So I got a new GT today trying to pair one up with my current GT. Here are some pics sorry they are not the best as he is not as photogenic as my others yet.

Male or female? What do you think.

My other GT that is thought to be a female is actually quite tollerant of the new guy. More so than any of the other fish she has been with. The little guy fans his tail at her as well????? Almost like he is enticing. Much more collor already than the big one as well.

cute little guy there. Be prepared to wait and wait for growth. Pretty slow growers imo, mine went from 2 inch to 4 inch in about 3 months so i dunno i guess im not very patient. Looks male. females are bland hardly any orange and fins not as much flow. Enjoy

I would agree but it is still too small to make an accurate guess.

Yes I know he is pretty small. But compared to my other GT and most of the others at the store this one had so much more color and much larger fins in comparison to it's body size. Also has more body color. My other was very bland with slight shimmer on the face and light orange on the fins. This one has so much blue and red on the fins and the markings on it's face are so bright. I am hoping it turns out to be a male.

Here are some clearer pics that I got.

nice little guy. they dont grow that slow. if you keep up with waterchanges, good quality food and multiple feeding a day then you should get about 1" per month until it hits the 6" mark. of course this depends on genetics and on good conditions.
good luck with it.

I am hoping male on this one as I think my other is a female. I was thinking male as well because of it's fin size and how much color it has on it. The bigger GT is quite tolerant of the new one so I am hoping they will pair up as the smaller guy gets a little bigger.
