Hi Guys,

First let me introduce myself. I am Sri from Bangalore, India, I bought a flowerhorn on 1st Jan and I seriously very noob in fishes, this is my first fish ever in my life and I really don't know about fish things, So please help me with all the advise about this fish. Please Share your Opinions about my fish. I Hope the fish is male and I am keeping it in 2*1*1 tank and I am giving Okiko Head Up. I Want to keep this thread to update the growth of fish.

Very nice FH! I'm sure you have already learned that he will need a larger tank soon. It's definitely male!

Welcome to MFK!!! Very Nice Male Flower horn. Yes you will need a bigger tank in the next 2-3 months. These ZZ Flower horns usually have an average size of 7-10 inches when full grown. Do not put any other fish with him as he will most likely kill it. No live foods just keep feeding him pellets. Water temp should be maintained at 80-84 degrees fahrenheit. PH of 7.2-7.8 Make sure you are using a good strong filter as flower horn can be very sensitive to poor water conditions which can make them get sick. Keep us updated and if you need any other help on what to do next with him just ask.

Ohh I can't believe I just forgot to say this: Every week take out 30-50% of the water in the tank and put new clean water in. I use API Stress Coat to remove chlorine and heavy metals from my water when I do my weekly water changes. Weekly water changes is one of the BEST ways to keep your FH happy and healthy.

Nice fish bro!! Please update regularly.. And like CrazyCichlids has mentioned above you'll need a bigger tank soon
