New guy here! check out my new setup

It all started with a 10 gallon shell dweller tank for my daughter for xmass this year...I ended up with a petco 55 gallon because of the $1/gallon sale. Found the stand on craigslist for $50


For the 2 months out of the year, I picked up a fluval 300M, and for filtration I have an Eheim 2215 that I LOVE. Lighting is on order as we speak....

Pool filter sand, texas lace rock, and a bunch of assorted shells....

My stock list is very basic, 7x Multifasciatus (already have FRY!!!) 2 Leptosomas (black fins), 1 Opthalmotilapia ventralis Kipili, and 2 punks.

Would like to add more, but not sure what else I can really add, as some of the stocking programs say I'm near the limit when they're all adults. I'd like to add two more black fins, and at least two more feather fins, and 1 more punk. What do you guys think?

Good looking tank man, that's a nice setup. Bet those lil guys are loving the room.

Love the lace rock. I would do a 3-d background to really make that tank pop.

maybe get away with some cyprichromis species to add motion in the mid/upper levels of the tank.

Picked up two more Cyps today, and they're immediately schooling with the other two black fins....in harmony. ALso picked up a bad boy, a leluipei to complete the look. Also moved back my two multi's that got put into timeout for being mean....

Also two more featherfins, but these guys are TINY...so they are staying out of the 55 for right now.

Looks good but I have a suggestion, do you have a CO2 meter in your tank as your gas in the pic seems to be running high
