howdy yall,
new to monster forums. Just starting to research my next tank, hopefully shark. I have been breeding seahorses for a few years and as I do love horses I am starting to miss keeping critters with that have some bark&bite.

I just started to research, I am not able to keep anythign new for at least a year so this is the time for research. I am interested in bamboo as these seem to be the starter for the field of shark keeping. I am having difficulty with the things i read online. I have seen anywhere from a 55 gal tank to min 300 gal for one. I don't rightly believe 55 gal is suitable for a 3ft creature but i see more of that than anything else.

Do yall have blogs, articles, or know of just good research info I can start to look at regarding the care of these critters?

i think i may have answered my question. it seems like a small shark is just a little too far off. mabye some small lions

You can figure out what shark you want then set up something to fit it - that would be your best bet. There are some great species profiles on sharkraycentral.com for you to read through.

Welcome to the site!

Yeah - there are a few sharks that can be kept in a 300 gallon tank/pond - but only for are small "aquaria suitable" species that are usually only about 24" in length.

Still it's always good to research - sharks before ever attempting to keep one.
