Welcome Fernando :)

If you plan to keep all 4 RBP your going to need to upgrade in the near future (Just an FYI). Cichlid pellets are probably fine for their "first meal"; however, I would also purchase frozen foods for them to eat like bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis, & krill. I would stay away from feeder fish for the most part (& live foods should NOT be their main source of food, because feeder fish can carry lots of diseases and they could transmit a disease to your RBPs). I would also maybe visit your grocery store and find them catfish, tilapia, trout, &/or smelt to eat. I would avoid warm blooded meats such as chicken & liver as it may cause problems for them down the road.

You can also feed them worms & vegetables.

Welcome to MFK,

as clownknife mentioned if you can get them on cichlid pellets that would be great but if you can't at the moment then you can feed them other food. if you already have frozen raw shrimp at home you can try those first. thaw the shrimp then slice it into thin "fillet" since your rbps are still small, a thinner piece will be easier for them to bite on. just feed them one "fillet" at a time and keep the rest in the fridge for other feedings.
you can just drop the shrimp into the tank or run a fishing line through it and hang it in mid water (<--- easier to take out the uneaten food) and your rbp should start attacking it.
Here's a video of my cariba feeding on shrimp "fillet" when they were about the same size as your rbp if not smaller

hey how are you guys thanks for all the advice....I do know I have to upgrade tanks.....I didn't want to get 4 but the guy at the store said to get 1 or 2 more of the number I'm trying to keep because it is very possible to lose one or two fish....I have tried feeding them pelletsand blood worms but they won't take them....they did eat some cichlid flakes but not much..... ill get some shrimp and try tomorrow.....any other tips?

Howdy & Welcome.

You could try fish fillet from the grocery store, or earthworms.

As long as you don't fertilize or use pesticides it's fine, I do it all the time and the fish love the worms!

Welcome to MFK!

And? How did they like it?
