Just introduced my new Black inkfin today. He's the last one and thus completes my little tang tank. Looking forward to watching these little guys grow...and looking forward to a bigger tank once I move!! Cant get a great pic but this will do for now.

I will post a better pic soon bc this one doesn't do him justice now that he is settling in--he's beautiful!
Nice. What else do you have in the tank if you don't mind me asking? Also, hope you're patient, gonna take a little while for him to grow. xD

Yes, this is my first time keeping calvus and I read they grow very slowly, which is partly why I chose them. Not able to have the size tank i want right now and only have a 30g. Wanted to get something I could keep forever and not have to re-home. In stocking order I have; 3 juvenile Gold Head Calvus, 5 Juliodochromis marlieri, 1 lemondrop bristlenose, and then the Black Inkfin. Also for a clean-up crew I first introduced 3 snails who are crazy and zoom all over the tank, have gotten huge, and act nothing like 'snails' lol. It''S supposed to be a little tang tank although it doesnt look Tanginikan in the least. I was originally going to keep CA but then realized the tank was way too small. Just getting back into the hobby. Have an Aquatop 400 CF with UV on it--like it well enough. If you have any suggestions im all ears...

agreed , nice fish , cool tank ...always liked calvus , esp with frontosa's who grow slow as well ..
I was thinking about frontosa! Good to know they grow slowly. Im wanting to eventually expand to a 75g and was thinking a small frontosa would be cool in there for a while. Eventually I guess he would need to be the only fish in there though.
