Hi I just started my tank about 5 1/2 months ago and it kind of started as competetion between me and friend to see who could take better care of the fish. I started off with a group molly and started doing some reading and eventually graduated to cichlids bye bye moollies. So right now i have a Green terror, a Oscar, and a flowerhorn in a 100g tank. Now before you start saying it cant be down too aggressive i have read stories that if started out young can live in one tank no problem depends on fish. Well i had the fish for about 3 1/2 months and brought them all about 2" with the green terror being a tad bit larger. Now where i need help is, the oscar and the flowerhorn have went from 2" to a little over 6" in these short months but my green terror has only grown a inch if that. Ive been feeding them cichlid pellets which the GT eats (not as much as the other two) so i cant figure out is something wrong or do GT just tend to grow slower. The GT i named the Grinch is now getting chased around by both fish cause he smaller. What should i do ?? Is it time to just let the GT go?? Just a side note the oscar and flowerhorn never bother each other or never chance the GT around but since they gained some size all they do is pick at him....

Need to move the GT.And yes they grow very slow compared to Oscars&FH

edit:Most likely the oscar will get picked on or killed by the fh

Also Im gonna try and post some pics of my Flowerhorn and maybe someone can help me with sexing. I asked the guy at the store to give me a male but he seemed so confused and unsure. He was new so i kinda felt bad for him, he was literally shaking while helping me. So i just need help knowing if my kindness got me a female instead of a male flowerhorn... I hear males usually have the bigger hump ;)

It's my guess that everyone who says "it can be done" haven't done it with sexually mature adults. It's easy getting juvies to live together but 2 yrs down the road is always another story. The Oscar is just a future whipping boy for the FH and the GT probably won't make it much longer.

It seems the GT is gone? That sentence worries me. Where did it go?

Do you mean you're planning to get rid of him?
To answer your question-NOTHING! You're not going to be able to keep the Oscar and FH in a 100 g tank long term. No way you can put something else in there-certainly not another cichlid. Seriously-decide whether you like the Oscar or the FH better and get rid of one of them. Then you can maybe get some schooling fish or something if it's the Oscar you keep. But you probably only have about 1 chance in 100 of being able to keep ANYthing in with a FH. They're just too aggressive.

yeah very few people would be able to make these guys work once they are fully mature, also its not just an aggression issue, with that size tank its also a bio-load issue, when all these guys grow up even if you do get the odd combination that doesnt fight they are going to make that 100 gallons dirty QUICK, Os make about the same mess as 2 big cichlids alone, i would get rid of the GT and then just get some kind of school of dithers and hope that the flowerhorn doesnt decide to turn on the O as well
