Whats good folks? New to this board..but not the hobby. I came over from another board..let's see how my stay goes.

So I have a 110g acrylic tank that I'm setting up really soon..and I'm open to suggestions as for stock. The tank is 60"Lx24"Hx18"W...filtered with 20g sump, sponge filters, and a canister. I'm looking for the unusual and uncommon.. ethier a "cool" combo or a solo "bad ass" fish. thanks! BTW, not looking to upgrade anytime soon..so fish that I could house for life perferably!

Give me your budget. I can help spend your money.

On a side notion, go MFK or go home.

Check out the End all mini-monster thread... can't find the link atm .. But lists off a ton os species.. the 18"W is whats gonna hold you back from the larger fish. I'de say stay int he 12" - range if it's gonna be a tank for life. there are prolly a few exceptions... But Id'e check out that thread 'n then come back here 'n hit up a few more specific questions.

A jaguar cichlid might be nice. Maybe bichirs? what do you like?

With that kind of money I would start with sweet Polypterus' on the bottom like an Ornate for their colors. I love watching mine eat. If properly trained, they can be fearless. As for your mid-section, for an aquarium that size, I would add a pack Barracudas. They can live with with almost anyone species. Get 6 cudas. Now we have to shop for a fish that swims up top. I would go with 4x archer fish since that size aquarium will be great for them for awhile and you would have action up top. Add an army of Clown Loaches to the bottom of your tank clean. Buy as many as you can afford. BOOM complete.

Now your set up is sweet imho.

6 bills just spent.

jags are nice but too common for me and I've done bichirs for awhile now. As of now I'm into oddballs, rare kinda fish. For this tank I'm lleaning towards a single specimen tank, but I'll keep my options open
