Detroit, MI (motor city)
Hey guys (&girls)

My name is Kyle. I'm 24 and I live in Garden City, Michigan (Metro Detroit)

Basically a rookie in the fish keeping hobby...especially in the "monster fish" hobby.

Never had fish as a kid (other than 2cent carnival goldfish that wouldnt last more than a week) no one in my family had fish either so it was a random act of fate that i recently got into the hobby (no one told me how expensive it gets though!)

Anyway after much research i decided on 8 little red belly piranhas in a 55g tank for starters. They quickly out grew the 55 and i had to buy a 120g as they grew from 3inches to 6inches in a couple months. I'm in the middle of looking for and upgrading to a 165+ gallon considering my biggest is pushing 9inches now.
(I know that's way cramped for piranhas..I'll get it fixed soon and they seem to be a close knit shoal - just hang out n relax all day.) I joined a while back because i woke up to eggs and hadn't the slightest clue what to do about it. Creeped on some breeding topics then went MIA. But I'm back!

So as of now i have a 120gallon filtered by a fluval G6 canister, two 300w heaters and two air stones on either side. Black n Green gravel and Green LEDs on the hood that look great at night.

I also have a 9-10"pleco...not sure what kind, my girlfriend bought it for me randomly.

Anyway...there's my whole fish history hahah you'll see me around! Very talkitive but not very knowledgable on the hobby LOL.

welcome. This hobby can get costly, one thing you can do is browse the DIY threads there are a lot of ways to save money if you put your mind to it.

Thanks guys! n i already did some creepin around the DIY section...i don't have much time for lengthy projects..so unfortunately for me spending the money is just easier right now :( however instead of spending a bajillion dollars on a bigger tank ima find one that needs some work and make t it my own :D

Nothing wrong with that. My biggest tank was used and wouldn't even hold water. It was a 220 I got it for 100 bucks and siliconed that suker.
Thats what I mean, DIY saves some green. No rhyme intended. lol
