New guy

Hello,

I am new here and I'd like to say hi.. I go by -fab5, and it's been a while since I have kept aquariums, both fresh water and saltwater. Well I am off to the sport again and just set up a 46 gal bowfront yesterday, and may get to the 75 bowfront this evening. The 46 will be my community tank, and the 75 I haven't made up my mind but probably many African Cichlids. Probably the most pressing question I have right now is: Where to buy fish online, as shipping seems expensive..? Thank you, and I look forward to future communications.. Have a great day..

Thanks for coming by to say hi, and for the 2 c. I've been mesmerized with Aquabid the last couple of days, and hadn't had a chance to say thanks.. I set up my 75 gal cichlid tank last night, and had a question. Since the stuff was lightly used I hadn't used a Cascade canister filter before. I put the sponge on the bottom and the other 2 trays are filled up with 2 floss pad each (4 total). Is this ok or is it recommended to put charcoal or ceramic rings in one or in part of one. -Thanks!

I've now put ceramic rings in level two, on top of a floss pad, and level three is activated charcoal and another floss pad. How often should i change out as tank gets active with cichlids. The tank is now cycled and ready to go..
