So i just bought this little guy for $27.00. Im curious as to what everyone recommends on food to help them reach their full potential. He is currently the sole owner of my bare bottom 125 gallon. Any thoughts, or guidance is appreciated!

Small flowerhorns will feel really insecure in a big space. For that small guy 125 is too big for now. That's mybe why he still has the stress bars. A 30g is good enough for tht size. Put him in a bigger tank when he gets bigger.

Nice pick up. I agree with Pak, maybe a smaller tank or add some tankmates and hardscape. I've got my 2 1/2 inch FH
Swimming in a 120 long with schools of Buenos Aires Tetras and Red Eye Tetras, Firemouths even an adult Red Texas. The FH is doing fine. Adding strong and fast tankmates might even have a domesticating effect on your FH.

The only fish I've got that may be fast enough to get away from him are some young convicts.

I wouldn't add Convicts or any fish that actually has the potential to damage your FH.

Right. Looks like my inhabitants in my 29 gallon are going into the 125, and my FH is going into the 29.
