Well I broke down and had to get me another pair:headbang2:headbang2Mostly because these are the last from my old Male Voodoo:grinno: Ira did a great job growing and pairing these guys out and i couldnt help myself. when he told me he had a pair forming at 2-2.5" i jumped all over it. I finally was able to get them shipped to me last week. these guys are extremely healthy, they made a 3 day priority to Alaska from New York!! Right now ive got them settling into a 55 by themselves. Im not trying to breed them just yet but im sure it wont be long with as frequently as i change my water:naughty:
Ira was right about these two, the males fins are gorgeous and an attitude and personality to match. Thank you Ira for letting me know about this great lil pair, I just wish i never would have sold the parents, so now these guys will definitely be hanging around. The male is now 3-3.5 and the female is 2.5 to just under 3" here is a quick lil video, its not much but i couldnt help myself, i had to post them now:)

Nice pair, they look good already. I have a question about the breeding though, what can you do to promote them to breed. My pair has bred before but since I've moved them and switched their tanks they havent't.

Great job with them.... I really need to add some of these to my collection in the future...

Raise your temp to mid to high 80's, feed high protien diet, add more oxygen to the tank see how that goes for the next couple weeks. if that doesnt work then pull out the smaller hait for 2-3 days then re-introduce and try the above again. I remember you saying your female was more aggressive so i would pull her or divide them for a couple days while your increasing the temp in the tank giving the male more space to claim as his own, then pull divider and they should go back to the courting and sparring ritual for a couple hours or days then she should spawn for him.
