Hey guys, I just wanted to take a minute to let some of you know about a new program that a couple of guys are doing to promote the hobby and dicuss "real" issues with husbandry, breeding, etc, that we are all interested in.

It's called "Reptile Radio" and happens every Saturday night at 11:59pm (live) and then the rest of the broadcasts can be streamed anytime.

The show has weekly guests and is a great avenue for spreading the word about how great the hobby really is.

Here's a link:

There is also another web-based show coming out that BHB Enterprises is putting together, called Snakebytes.tv. This should be pretty cool, as it is an inside look at probably the largest reptile breeding facility in the U.S., perhaps the world as well.

Here's a link to that:

***Disclaimer***
I am in no way affiliated, associated, or any other "ated" with either of these shows and am just posting to spread the word about them. Enjoy!

Sounds interesting. Either Al let them, or they just went through all "viperkeeper" subscribers but they sent me a link to snakebytes through youtube... not sure what I thought of the taster vid, but I'm reserving judgement for a bit to see how it turns out. Interesting to watch though either way.

There was a really good ball python talk on the show where Adam Wysocky was a guest...shared some good information on breeding, stubborn feeders, etc....

They are basically just trying to reach the masses and spread the word about the hobby. I've enjoyed the shows so far....we'll see how that snakebytes thing turns out, looks like they've got a good video editor by looking at the teasers...

Jason Holzworth was on Reptile Radio one night talking about blood pythons. It was pretty interesting, but I felt like the hosts were gratuitously crude, so it's not something I'd listen to regularly.

That said, I'm pretty hard to offend, but a public display of vulgarity with no artistic or satirical purpose is completely pointless.

I've also seen a few folks on youtube who are doing reptile-related stuff...you just have to search around. And Reptiles Magazine recently changed their format and seems a lot more respectable now that it had been in the past few years.

Snakebytes looks rad. They posted on one of the myspace reptile groups I frequent, I really like the teaser vids.

Hello my name is Larry Suttles and I'm one of the hosts of Reptile Radio and I'd like to address the above quote.

I agree with you 100%. You are completely right. When I first started Reptile Radio it was just me and a buddy talking about our snakes so we weren't concerned about the language. Once the listener base started to expand I quickly cut out any and all offensive language.

For last 7 weeks and from here on out the show is rated G and is suitable for everyone.

With that being said I invite you to please come back and check out the new format.

Thanks Larry

Ray Hunter was on Reptile Radio at Midnight last night. I was asleep though.
