More specifically Alma, WI.
I'm looking for some suggestions and help.
I signed up a long time ago, but am now just getting to use the site.
Looks like a great site, by the way.
I have a filtration problem in my 210 gal African cichlid tank.
Way too many fish ... about 70 or so of different sizes.
I need to give about 50 away, but don't know where or how to do so.
Yellow labs are multiplying like rabbits.
I have other Cichlids in there, but the labs are the problem.
Currently I am running three Emperor 400s and they can't keep up. They don't get dirty that fast. Its just that the water may be more cloudy than dirty.
I have tried several different brands of the cloudy water treatments, but they dont work.
I have to change out 25% of the water every three days. Otherwise it gets a light yellow/green tint to it.
It gets so bad that I cant see to the back of the tank.
What would you suggest for a better filter system?
What else can I do to help this problem?
Another question, if I may.
What is the best way to get the tannins out of the Mopani wood?
I have been soaking a rather large chink for over two months now, and it still clouds the water.
I change the water every couple of days.
Thanks in advance for your help.
