Hello there.

I just joined last night and did the automated intro thing during registration but, it never got posted. Hmmm...

Anyway, Jay L. sent me here from Nikon Cafe. If you are a Nikon user check them out too. Lots of friendly folks over there too.

Just some quick info about me:

I have been shooting regularly for about 5 years now. I bought a Olympus 2100UZ to take pics of my new business and build out and such and I have not stop taking pics since then. 3 years ago I decided to get a DSLR and spent a couple years saving and researching. I finally ended up with a Nikon D70s. Oh, and yes I like the Canon's too!

I enjoy shooting all sorts of things but, as it turns out I enjoy taking pics of pets, wildlife and my fish tanks and reef tanks etc. Also my business is running a pet store so that works out pretty good. This site seems like a good fit for me and I hope to be a regular contributor both in posting pics and seeking advice and maybe offering a little too? I am always looking to learn more. I do not think there is an end to learning new stuff. So, as time goes by I hope to get to know some you (as least virtually anyway). This really looks like a nice spot to hang out.

Oh yeah, I live in Texas near San Antonio out in the hill country. So anyone else from the SA/Austin area here?

Let's get things going and break the ice with my first pic here:
Nothing fancy.

Yo, Mark, you are here, and no more nagging messages :) (inside joke)

Great first photo, let's see more (that avatar looks intriguing, let's see the big one).

Here is my avatar. Don't kill me this was just a quick pic and glass was not totally clean. He really likes his star polyps!
