This is my first post. I wanted to say hello to everyone. I also want to ask a question About "Parashield" from sentry. Im treating a 20 gallon now had it up and going for about 3 months. I believe I brought ick home with my new fish. Ive been using this treatment for 3 days. And they look worse. Yes my temps are at 82degrees. ? Any one use this product have any helpfull hints?

Welcome to MFK!! I'm not sure about parashield, but I've found that Mardel Clout or just heat and salt cures ich really fast. I've never had it in my tanks, but I've treated it many times, using those methods, where I work.

Salt will work unless you have a scale less fish. I don't use salt on my Catfish I use copper instead at half the dose. Only had ick once and it cleared up fast.

Copper can be much more harmful to scaleless fish than salt. I've used salt and 86° temperature on tanks with catfish before and cleared ich in a couple days. Never lost a fish to ich or its treatment.
