So I'm just getting into the aquarium hobby.
I currently have a 29 gallon tank with LED lighting.
My goals are first to do some aquascaping with just rocks and plants.
Looking for thoughts on my current plan from some of the experts here on MFK.
Plan

Would love some feed back/ suggestions. I'm completely new to this and I know its a big experiment lol.
Ill add some pictures of my current dirt in tank setup when I have a chance.

Plan
------
- Substrate
- I have dirt substrate currently just organic potting soil, no fertilizers. Dirt is about 1" at the front of the tank and I have a wall rock/ dirt that is built up to be about 7" in the back of the tank.
- I am going to putting some Black aquarium sand I got from pet smart over the dirt. My goal is to shoot for about 2 cm of sand top layer.
- Plants
- Hair Grass
- Star Grass
- Tank Conditions
- For starters I'm assuming my LED is a low watt setup though the LED's I have actually are pretty damn bright. Not sure how plant growth will fair.
- The filtration system that came with the tank is pretty big. It pours water back onto the surface of the water agitating it quite a bit. I have read that the filter should be enough water displacement for the size of my tank.
- I do not plan on adding any additional chemicals to my tank for plant growth. I have no problem waiting longer to grow a carpet of hair grass at the bottom.
- I was planning on seeding the substrate with black worms. For a variety of reasons.
- I'm currently not planning on having any kind of current in the water though I'm interested in the process and what kind of fish can/cant be in a tank with a current.
- Fish
- I have no fish at the moment. I was planning on around 20 small fish, preferably schooling fish such as tetra or guppies. Also I was gonna get some of the smaller bottom feeders that school as well.
