Hey everyone. I just recently got back into the hobby and picked up a pair of 7-8" Jags that now hate each other..

Left is male, right is female correct? Also, any ideas for getting their bond back so they aren't constantly trying to kill each other? I also picked up a 2" Green Terror. Does anyone have a guess as to the sex of it? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to MFk! I'm not experienced in jags or GT's but other members will chime in.:)

Beautiful fish! Sometimes hate can be love. Lip locking chasing fighting can be all breeding behavior. Happened to my flowerhorn. Divided the male and then bam two days later after taking out the divider they spawned and had eggs. Two days later he almost killed her I think its because she started eating the eggs so he got mad. I am going to take out the male now since I feel like hes not looking to hurt her but to kill her. I have fish that chase other fish but won't hurt them really. This guy is looking to kill she took some beating. Half her scales are gone but she is doing well. Didn't eat for a day but her appetite kicked in and doing lovely.

Breeding is risky with any fish. I had a death before where a male killed the female.
