I have a Florida Gar which is about a foot long - has been the king of my 90 gallon tank but as my Arowana has caught up in size the poor thing is getting his butt kicked. He hangs out on the bottom more and more and when he goes to the top to feed the Arowana is on him in a second - not sure what to do - I don't really want to take him to a pet shop where he will possibly end up in some tiny tank but he isn't happy. This has been going on for about a month with him becoming more inactive - he still eats and his color is good so i really think it is just that I've created bad tank dynamics. I'd be happy to send him to a new home if someone can show that they have a nice big tank - anyone in the nyc area interested?
Also - if i've posted this in the wrong place, 1000 pardons - not looking to offend - just new here and not sure of the rules.

Well welcome aboard!

As for your fish problem, go ask the guys in either the arowana forum or gar, under ancient fish, Advanced Aquaria section. (I think they are pretty much the same people, lol) Good luck with getting things sorted out!!

And don't worry about offending, your join date will more than cover for your early blunders. Hey, they haven't kicked me out yet and I shove my foot down my throat all the time! ;)
