Hi I'm Henry and this my first post on here. I currently own two fish tanks. 180 gallon and a 40 gallon breeder.

In my 180 I have 3 Stingrays and I think a Tropical Gar.

In my 40 Gallon breeder im using it only for a grow out tank till the fish are big enough to go in the 180. Currently only have a Shovelnose Catfish in there and it's still cycling. The Shovelnose is about 5" and been in the 40G around a month. I also had a Longnose Gar also at about 5",but after 2 weeks The Shovelnose made a nice meal out of the Gar.

40G breeder

So my 180 full stock hopefully will be

3 stingrays
1 Tropical Gar
1 longnose Gar
1 Shovelnose Catfish

My Questions:

so for a few months now I have had plans to upgrade my 180 to a Marineland 300 wide in October 6'L 3'W 27"H.
I did some research on the internet and found review after review after review about the Marineland 300 wide seals cracking in the first year and causing major flooding.

Has anyone heard of this or experienced this?
Any good website to make custom 300g wide? Really dont want bigger then a 300g wide.

Another question:
Can anyone identify this Hybrid Stingray I own?

I have that exact tank and I've seen these reviews as well. I bought this tank used and I've had it for 4-5 years and I've never experienced any leaking. When I read those reviews I kinda thought maybe the people that experienced these problems messed something up during installation. Tanks cant be pulled on or pushed at all really and the tank is very big and pretty heavy. I needed 5 guys to lift it and get it in place in my house correctly. There is all kinds of big tanks out there. Why would this one leak more then any other one? Either way. I love the tank.

Flint town!
My lfs had one on display. It blew the front bottom seal at right about the 1 year mark. That's at an lfs that has been in business for over 30 years. They install and care for tanks everyday. Talking to the mgr he said its kind of a known issue with them. Marineland warrantied it for them but they repaired it and reinforced it instead. Been going strong 2 years now.
Planted betta sorority ........seems like a waste but overall kinda cool.

I think they will only warranty the tank if it's on the stand that they sell for it and it's on level ground. I dont usually see display tanks in a lfs on stands like that.

The Stingray looks like a Bad Mantilla Hybrid mixed with a Motoro. Or maybe a Reticulated mixed in.

I live in a apartment. I’m just to scared to buy the 300g tank.

Bad mantilla hybrid? This is a stunning hybrid in my eyes. Cant see motoro in it in the pictures at all.

Here is a pic of my pure mantillas and on of an old pearlhybrid i owned previously.
I can say for sure that the mother of my hybrid did not have any motorotraits at all. She looked almost like your hybrid except darker.
