hi everyone, i'm knew here and new to the world of fish keeping (i have been keeping fish for just under a year now). I started out with red bellies and then moved onto some more interesting (big) fish. I have within the last year kept.........
Dolphin hammerheads,
syno cats,
numerous different cichlids,
arawanna,
redtailed cat,
different eels and plenty of pleco.
My tank is 6'x2'x2' = 180 gallon, I currently house:
2 x blue botia (approx 3"), 2 x panda botia (approx 2"), 1 x common plec (approx 1'), 1 x royal plec (approx 2"), 1 x chubby or bulldog plec(i'm not to sure, I was sold it as a chubby, approx 2"), 1 x royal clown knife (approx 4.5"), 1 x clown knife (approx 1'), 1 x lima shovelnose cat (approx 6"), 1 x tiger shovel nose (approx 1') and a small common oscar (approx 4").
I have another shovel nose cat waiting to go into the tank. It appears to be a redtail cat x shovelnose. It is just small that's why it's not in there.
Now I realise that I have kept a lot of fish in a short while. None of the fish died (I have been lucky), for some strange reason (I'm not sure of) they grow big quick and I swapped them for different fry/young of other species.
I have found that I like the clown knifes the best.
any info on how to make the clown's real happy would be greatly welcomed.
