so im new here and i joined bc i am interested in talking to ppl that have built vary large tanks (1500gal or larger) im kicking around the idea of building a 12ft long by 7ft tall and 5ft wide (3150gal) concret tank with2 5x5 windows on the one side. iv got a rough idea on the lay out and design but not sure about the glass thickness. i would rather not use plexy (it scraches to easy) i have a good glass and windo store close by and i can order pre cut tempered glass or non-temperd that i can cut down but not real sure how thick i will need. any input as how to figure the psi of water that will be against the glass and or how thick the glass should be would be greatly appreciated thanks

you should post this in the DIY section. there is a lot of experienced tank builders in there
