After losing my beloved Yellow Tail 2 years ago after a cross country move, I finally purchased a High Back Golden from Golden Gardens in Toronto. Has anyone heard of this type and if you please post a picture of a full grown specimen, I would like to see what my would look like when it grows larger. It is currently 5 inches

it looks like an RTG but its a cross btwn XBxRTG and if you know RTG's shine are at 4th lvl and XB's shine is 6th lvl or fully crossed and HiBack or HBRTG's shine is at 5th level so ask Koji for pictures he works at Pang Long farm

First of all, a High Back Golden is a RTG. Usually a RTG will only have shine up to 4th row of their scale. But Highback Golden got shine up to 5th row. Some better one may develop abit here and there on their 6th row but never a cross like a crossback golden.

And usually a Highback Golden are been sold slightly more expensive than an average RTG.

Don't back down, argue with Koji. :D Just kidding. ;)

We're starting to see this name in Canada lately, and some other new names like Golden Red where the aro being sold is an RTG. :irked:

I dun know
the highbacks I see in HK really look like red aro in terms of body shape-- pointed snout, "carmeled" back and color of rtg (though they appear to be more shiny on higher-rolled scales than a common rtg).

I wonder if they cross-breed a lot and look like this in the end...

anywayz, juz bypass here, i know nothing abt aros tho I keep one :P
