I am starting my collection of tanks and beautiful fish to keep in the tanks. I have a 10 gal with 1 blood parrott; a 10 gal with 1 albino tiger oscar; and a 100 gal with a juv. algae eater. We are looking to put 4-6 blue haps and 4-6 blue dolphins. Does anyone have any suggestions for adding smaller fish to the two 10 gallon tanks and do you think the mixture of the blue haps and dolphins is a good idea and does it leave room to add a few different kinds later?

Well, for starters you're going to have to move the blood parrot and the oscar to the 100 gallon or a different large tank soon. A 10 gallon tank isn't suitable for either of these fish unless they're 2" and you're only keeping them in there for a month.
If you decide to add africans to the 100, then you can add quite a few if you add lots of rockwork/caves.

Well both the parrot and the oscar are only about 2 inches big and they will both be put in a 30-50 gallon once I get it set up. I thought these two would be good tank mates but I found out that my blood parrot is very territorial and would not be nice to the oscar...any recommendations on the 100 gal??? I really want some blue haps, can anyone give me some ideas as to how many can go in 100 gal?

You will NEED to put your oscar in the 100g tank, 10g is not suitable for them even for a little while, and a 50g just isnt big enough. in my opinion you could have the oscar with some blue haps. Maybe the oscar plus one male blue hap and three females.

That oscar is going to need atleast 75 gallons and you can toss the parrot in also. For the 100gal tank I'm not very familiar with africans so I am of no help there. You could get another oscar and put them in the 100 with the algae eater and the blood parrot.

eventhough i am on the african side.. i can live knowing that you'll have an oscar in the 55g tank. there are also many african with increadible color and very active and great personality that you can have in the 55g tank such as peakcocks.. you can make an all male tank that will look awsome or a breeding group

My personal opinion- The oscar and BP need the space alot more than africans would. Why not make an SA tank out of the 100g and put africans in the 55g? You can still have blue haps in a 55g.

1+

exept for the haps in the 55g hap tank.. most haps need large tank due to ther size and aggression.

:iagree: The oscar and the parrot in the 100 and africans in the 55, I know litte about africans but I do have oscars and 55 is just not big enough when full grow.
