Has anyone seen the new RENA HOB filters? I just saw them for the first time at work today. Rena.net did not have anything on about them and Petsmart.com did not have the for sale. They did however have HOB diatom filters. My diatom put 5 gallons of water on the floor today, but thats another story. Does anyone know anything about these filters? They aren't going to sell if I don't know what they do.

I tore the filter apart (box was open) and it seemed like an allright setuip......BUT small volume , at least half the size of the ac's or emps.......vertical wise!!!!!

Yea, I would have checked it out more but I was working so I couldn't. Did you go to Brandywine? Did you talk to anyone in specialty? Did you go to Moes for lunch?

Are you talking about the Rena wet/dry HOB? I have looked at them, and they are a very small w/d that looks actually very good.

I think that might be it. Where did you see it? I will check them out one day when I go to do my shopping.

if you go to the broomall store, look for Tim, he's their Pet Care manager. I used to work with him. Great guy, really knows his stuff. Used to build custom tanks and sumps.

And tell him I said Hi, see what he says haha

heh, I was petcare at petsmart as well . But now I'm at petco - they pay more. :) petsmart only pays managers well and not its sales associates.

I saw one at the LFS here, it was $13.99, and was able to pump 110 gph. Not to shabby of a little filter, but it was exactly that... a little filter.

WyldFya,

There are some bigger ones that do a lot more. Like I said, I will check it out more in depth later on.

Messytank,

I started at better pay than some of my friends have gotten to and they have been at the same place for over a year. I'm only 17, so its not that big of a deal. In the summer I work two jobs so its not bad.
