Luckily for venomous keepers and the wild populations, the scientists got a few pairs in order to breed them then distribute them to hobbyists in order to prevent the further collection of wild individuals.

Yes, the last that I heard, they're going to give out offspring for free to highly qualified private individuals and zoos; I imagine that they're going to end up having to charge people for them due to the demand unless these vipers have huge litters.
You need to get on Facebook, man; that's how I knew about them distributing the offspring.

I would hope so if they want as many people as possible to have pairs.
I know of 3 people with them already. They were imported in before they were officially described which means the exporters already know where they are....
